About Me

Hello! I’m Benjamin Weaver, a physics graduate from Bristol University now based in London. My professional interests lie in quantum computation and the exciting scientific, technological, and societal advances which they could achieve. However, my personal enthusiasm for philosophy, art and society, are what brings me here to share my thoughts. As someone still just about in my early twenties, I’m very much still figuring out the big questions; how to live a meaningful life, how to stand up to the issues of our modern age, and is it lunchtime yet?

Armed with my A level religious studies, and a patchy bookshelf I want to share my exploration with you. To look at what philosophy, self-help, and modern media have to say for themselves and to have a go at creating some sense for ourselves.

Life is not just about thinking though, so I would also like to use this platform to share some of my passions with the world, in the hope that we can all find a new piece of wonder.

About The Website

I’m deeply passionate about exploring the breadth of human knowledge, our philosophy of life, and how we relate to ourselves and each other. In following this passion, I have become a fierce explorer of the deepest YouTube rabbit holes, a 2.5x speed Audible listener, a helpless self-help reader, a collector of “meaningful” quotes, and an aspiring bookshelf stockist. However, after so many hours, tangents, and chapters you realise that, no matter how fascinating the subject, passive consumption is only so fulfilling.

“You teach best what you most need to learn.” Richard Bach

With the overwhelming quantity, noise, and distraction of modern media, it’s easy to get lost. To be carried along in the novelty of the stream rather than stopping to fully engage with one place. Through my writing here I want to help myself and others to disconnect somewhat from the noise of the modern world, slow down, and truly think. To foster the courage to make our own interpretations, to challenge the worldviews, and participate in the discourse.

So, if you’re looking for a chance to discover new ideas, reflect on past wisdom, and create your own headspace then please join me on this journey.

Welcome to my website!
